Divine Chocolate poetry competition 2014 - winners announced!
Divine Chocolate logo

The Divine Poetry Competition is organised by Divine Chocolate and Christian Aid. It’s been running for 12 years as an opportunity for teachers and pupils to explore fairtrade.

The theme for 2014, 'If I met a cocoa farmer', encouraged pupils to think not just about how much they enjoyed eating chocolate, but also what it would be like to meet one of the people who is a vital part of the chocolate-making process.

Christian Aid was part of the judging panel, which this year was headed by children’s author Philip Ardagh.

Philip said: 'We were left with a lasting impression of competition entrants who’d thrown themselves wholeheartedly into the project.

'So congratulations to the three winners and commiserations to those who didn't win.

'I hope all entrants had as much fun writing their poems as I did that Thursday in the basement, immersed in good poetry and Divine chocolate.'

The winners in each age group will receive a box of Divine chocolate, £30 in book tokens, Christian Aid T-shirts, mugs and pens. Runners-up will receive Divine goody bags and Christian Aid mugs and pens.
