Food: who has it?
Theme: Availability of food
Country: Ghana

Food can be a sensitive subject for young people. Some may come from homes where healthy food is scarce; others may be struggling with weight issues. But, on the whole, these problems are minor compared to those confronting many people in developing countries.
Food: who has it? introduces pupils to a project funded by Christian Aid in Ghana that is introducing a new source of food to the country; snails! Through an assembly and classroom activities, students are encouraged to think about both the need for food and for fair access to it.
